Description
The Fielding team does worldwide fielding of SARSS-1 and other STAMIS Hardware and Software Packages (to include the AOR) for Project Manager Logistic Information Systems out of Fort Lee, VA. Previous fielding trips include the SARSS Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) equipment and SARSS-1 server and workstations and most recently we performed a life-cycle replacement fielding which upgraded the SARSS-1 MROCS barcode equipment. Projected fieldings include: fielding USARC SARSS-1 classrooms, fielding to SARSS-1 units and starting next year life cycle replacement for SARSS-1 servers and workstations. The job does require travel to the STAMIS sites worldwide. When not actively fielding, the team tests STAMIS equipment; develops Net Equipment Training, updates STAMIS training packages and STAMIS users manuals, validating software load instruction (SCP/ICP), periodically taking part in Lead Verification Site Test (LVST), and providing telephonic customer assistances and on-site visits.
Requirements
Knowledge of both UNIX (Solaris) the SARSS server OS and Window XP (other STAMIS servers and workstations and SARSS-1 Workstations), MS Office skills will be required. Should have the ability to install and integrate components and configure hardware and software. Must be able to diagnose problems once components and software are installed. Candidates should have ability to review manufacture hardware documentation, develop New Equipment/STAMIS Training packages in accordance with the system approach to training, assist in STAMIS manual updates, validate those packages, and conduct the training. Knowledge of SARSS is required and other STAMIS (SAAS-MOD, ULLS, and SAMS) is desired and good communication skills are required. Must be willing to travel for extended periods of time and be able to meet CRC health requirements for deployments to USARCENT AOR.

Must be able to successfully pass a background check as well as obtain and maintain a secret clearance. EEO
